Cassier Memorial Forest

Details

Lillian Cassier Memorial Forest is conserved by Bear Paw, under the control of Raymond Conservation. It's over 300 acres. Has wetlands & ponds, mostly forest. Part of it borders Governors lake. It is mildly hilly, has rocks, roots & ruts on most trails. Many trails are wide, a few are single file width. It is a quiet hike. You might see 1 person on a hike. Part of the northern boundary (Cilley road) is under water. It is mostly used for hiking & snowmobiling. On occasion ATVs use it illegally. Trails are marked with colored paint & small signs or arrows. A copy of the trail map can be found at the Raymond conservation site. The kiosk is at the end of Briar Road. It has a small parking lot so please car pool.
