Bedrock Garden, 19 High Road, Lee, NH
Details
Hello walkers, hikers, gardeners and art lovers.
This is 3 hours, more or less based on how much time you want to spend there. There's usually a tour at 10:30, but if you want to wander and explore instead of the tour, that's fine. People like the tours because interesting details are explained about the art and plant species. The tours are done by docents, some know a lot and some are in training. Sometimes I can sway the executive director John Forti to give my group a tour. He knows a ton and has good stories. There is no need to stay together as a group, but it's fine if we do. I can bring 6 people for free with my season pass. If more want to come, you can get on the wait list and when that day comes, just come and you can pay to get in. Or I'll post another visit there a week or so later and take another 6 for free. Feel free to suggest future dates that work for you.
This is an exceptional place to visit. If you don't want the tour, they have headphones that explain things as you walk the grounds. This is well worth your time. The grounds are easy walking, there's art everywhere, some is overhead so walking slow and looking around is helpful. They have a gift shop, plants for sale, bathrooms and sell cold beverages. They often have master gardeners there working so if you're into gardening, you may learn a few things. I'll post more details soon.
NH Chronicle has a segment on the garden and there's a PBS segment.
