Abstract:
Traditional companies live and love hierarchies. But the role of managers changed over the years. Today we have to raise the question: Do we need traditional managers in times of self-empowered teams, scrum masters, and chapter leads? How can we achieve flat hierarchies, increase team responsibility and improve customer experience without managers or leaders?

What is the role of Objectives & Key Results (OKR) in this transformation process? Wolfgang Rachbauer transformed Lending Operations and gives some insights into his motivation, fears, failures, and success stories.

Bio:
Wolfgang Rachbauer headed several units at Raiffeisen Bank International AG (RBI), Vienna, e.g. Credit Services, Global Finance Products, and Credit Office.

Currently, he steers Lending Operations and acts as Operations Lead Lending at RBI Head Office. He drives the transformation of Operations with agile methods and an adaptive approach.
