Mark is a long time technology executive, writer and speaker. He has spent the last 25 years working in emerging technology including virtualization, cloud computing, and systems management.

He's been a keynote speaker for OSCON, All Things Open, Open Source Summit, CloudStack Collab Summit, and others where he's taken complex topics and made them understandable for both technical and business audiences. 

Mark is currently the CEO and Founder of Peripety Labs, a digital consultancy in Cary, NC. Previously he was the CEO and co-founder of TriggerMesh a a venture-backed startup funded by Cisco and Index Ventures. He has also been the Editor-in-Chief of LinuxWorld and Enterprise Open Source Magazines. 

He is currently working on two books, *Marketing Machines - How to Harness Artificial Intelligence for Improved Efficiency and Better Storytelling (May 2023)* and *The Artificially Intelligent Enterprise*.
