Dec 1, Kim Klaiman, Steady Options Straddles and Calendars
Details
The meeting will be Monday Dec 1, 6:30 pm ET at Oberlin/Cameron Village Library in Raleigh and on Aeromir Zoom.
Let's learn from Kim Klaiman of Steady Options by very clearly working through these examples of trades he using to earn over 100% a year, having started as an Engineer!
Examples we will go over (and back over again in our local group):
We will not fail you in keeping these explanations comprehensible and answering your questions!
In a July 2025 ranking by Benzinga, SteadyOptions was named one of the "5 Best Options Trading Alert Services". In past years, it was ranked second by Princeton Research and second in a ToughNickel study'
Benzinga (July 2025): The publication listed SteadyOptions for its "Best for Strategy Explanation" feature. It was noted for its consistent performance, focus on non-directional strategies, detailed trade explanations, and active forum. Benzinga notes that SteadyOptions offers great education and unique strategies for volatility-focused traders, compared to other services like Market Rebellion (high-frequency) and Options Alpha (technical trading).
Kim is a generous, candid and open speaker on options trading who will answer all your questions. Please bring a lot of them!
After Kim has to go, we are going to have some local only topics in the second hour.
New members have asked for talks explaining options trading and this will be one among many to serve that role as well!
We're inviting different speakers every month to help us understand these strategies. We are not selling their services, they are simply generously contributing their time. This series will help you understand the contours of what is involved. After everyone has got the basics down on a number of these meetings over the next few months, we will add some actual trade focus. But we all need some background understanding first.
6:30 pm ET. Main Talk with Expert Income Trader Kim Kleiman
7:30 pm ET. End of live relay on Zoom. Offline discussion continues in the Library in Raleigh, local only (no zoom or recording), getting our local experts' informal take and experience with similar strategies and discussing any and all topics on request
8:30 pm ET. End of meeting for Everyone
If you are anywhere within driving distance here in North Carolina, please try to attend in person at Oberlin Regional Library, 1930 Clark Ave, Raleigh, NC, on Monday Dec 1 at 6:30 pm ET. We need a decent turnout to keep getting access to the Library. If you cannot RSVP, come without RSVPing.
(Most people are responding on https://discourse.rdutraders.org/ but it is fine to RSVP here too). We expect up to 40 people or more overall combined, including remote. But in-person attendance is best!)
