About the Film:
Jack Tuller’s career as a budding San Francisco musician was forever altered in 1994, when he was diagnosed with a brain tumor and given six months to live. JACK HAS A PLAN tells the story of the following 25 years, as Jack dodges one bullet after the next. How is it even possible for somebody to be terminal for two-and-a-half decades?

But Jack somehow turns his predicament into a Left Coast creative documentary-performance project complete with experimental movies, diaries, and frequent spontaneous dance moves. As Jack’s condition worsens, he engineers the precise steps for a graceful exit from life’s stage. But not if his family and friends have anything to say about it.

JACK HAS A PLAN, produced over six years, was inspired by Jack’s keen desire to document and share his oddly funny and heartwarming end-of-life story. Jack wanted to remove the taboos associated with discussions about death and dying—and to create the most honest and uplifting case study about how to approach our final days with honesty, openness, and gratitude.
