React Router 7 Pre-Release Preview (Brooks Lybrand)
React Router is about to release quite possibly their biggest version yet, and the pre-release was just published.

In version 7, React Router will come with an optional Vite plugin that enables React Router to be a full-stack framework, giving you incrementally-adoptable features like code splitting, data loading, actions, server rendering, static pre-rendering, pending states, optimistic UI and more.

In this talk, Remix Dev Rel Brooks Lybrand will share:
- What led to merging the Remix and React Router projects
- What v7 means for current React Router sites
- What's new in v7 for Remix users

Mastering useEffect in React: When, Why, and How to Optimize (Nathan Drake)
In this talk, we'll dive deep into React's useEffect hook, exploring when it's appropriate to use, common pitfalls to avoid, and techniques for optimizing performance.

We'll cover understanding the purpose and behavior of useEffect, knowing when to reach for useEffect and when to consider alternatives, and recognizing and fixing useEffect-related performance issues.

Doors open 15 minutes before. The elevators will work only then. Come to the 16th floor (ACL room)

Parking
There is partial parking validation. If you enter the garage attached to the Omni (entrance on Brazos Street) after 5pm and leave before 10pm, you will be given a parking slip that reduces your fee to $8 flat for the duration of your stay within that time frame.
