As software engineers, it's tempting to jump on every new library or language that pops up on Hacker News. However, as fun as it is to work on the bleeding edge, it's not always the most responsible decision. There's an equilibrium to be reached with using bleeding edge technologies, and tried and true techniques. In this talk we'll look at some methods for discovering and assessing technologies, making decisions, and then looking ahead to some promising bleeding edge tools in the React ecosystem.

Dan Kelch is a software developer and consultant at Atomic Object. Dan has been excited about React for the past five years, but is always on the hunt for new technologies, in order to have the right tool handy for any project.
