Same Code, Faster Application - Roei Berkovich

A complicated React application usually consists of several components, utility methods, and third-party libraries.
The main problem that will affect the user, while shipping a large JavaScript payload is the loading time duration (especially on old devices and low network connections).
I will explain how we can split our bundle to multiple bundles with React.Lazy and React.Suspense and then ship it to the user only when he needs it

Roei Berkovich, Software developer @ AppsFlyer -
For the past 4 years, Roei worked as a software developer, focusing mostly on React. At AppsFlyer he is working with React & React-Native.
He is also writing a tech blog @ react-israel.co.il and founded JSsnippets (facebook page)

Sentiment analysis with DraftJS - Alon Niv, 500Tech

Sentiment analysis may sound like scary singularity stuff, but it's actually pretty nifty.
From letting your users how they come across, to adding an automated layer of sanitization to your blog's comment section,
sentiment analysis can be extremely useful, and it doesn't have to be done on the backend!
Using React's DraftJS rich text editor, the power of hooks and some 3rd party libraries, we can create an editor that lets you know how you come across, as you type!

Alon Niv, 26. Instructor and consultant for 500Tech by day, and an even bigger geek by night. Having fun with javascript since jQuery was cool.

React Testing Library vs. Enzyme - Lior Gerstein, Nielsen

As a company with no QA we take our testing seriously so when we heard about the new Facebook "React testing library" we had to check it out and see if it is better that we use today - Anzyme.
In this talk Lior will talk about what RTL has to offer and related testing best practices.

By comparing to the common Anzyme framework, Lior will explain what is missing in the way we test React components today and what is the new approach RTL offers to write more "behavioural" tests and rely less on selectors so that tests are more descriptive and maintainable.

Lior is a FE developer with over 5 years of experience and is always looking for ways to create high quality code and deep dive into the technologies and frameworks that will help us get there.

See You there!
