Get ready for our January meetup - powered by Remitly!
Check out their fantastic career opportunities at this link!

Agenda:
18:00 - Meet & Mingle

18:30 - Opening words

18:35 - Reacting Responsibly: Let’s Build a State Management Solution that Doesn’t Overreact (Talk will be in English)- Eugene Lerman, Software Engineer @ Remitly

Is your React app re-rendering so much it's contributing to global warming?
Come ye, and learn how to build a modern state management library from scratch! We'll face the demons of useState and Redux - including the dreaded zombie children (which are thankfully less lethal and more cute than real zombies) - and show how JavaScript Proxies can save your CPU from having an existential crisis. Ideal for React developers who've ever looked at their component tree and whispered 'why are you like this?', or
for fans of The Wire.

Eugene is a client infrastructure engineer (yes, that's a thing) at Remitly. He is self-made only in the sense that he taught himself how to snap the fingers of his left hand in his thirties. When not bragging about his physical achievements, he enjoys gobbling literature by the kilo, deep conversations with random street cats, good music, and judging people from a distance at the airport.

19:05 - **React Under the Hood: Understanding Host Environment, Host Tree, React Elements, and Children and How to Combine Them Together with react.memo**- Niv Naory, Software Developer - Frontend Developer @ Elbit Systems

In this session, I'll cover key React concepts such as React Elements, which define the UI structure, and the Host Environment and Host Tree, which help React efficiently manage updates across different platforms. I'll also explain how to handle React.Children and use React.memo to optimize performance by preventing unnecessary re-renders of static children, improving the efficiency of your React applications.

Niv Naory is a Software engineer at Elbit Systems, a piano lover, and a former basketball player.

19:35 - Break

19:50 - The Vite way to NPM - Oryam Nehoray, Frontend developer @ Tikal

In this talk, I’ll share some of the things I learned from creating and maintaining React components as npm packages using Vite.
We'll explore the powerful features of Vite that make it an ideal tool for building and packaging reusable React components.

20:20 - Raffle! 3 Webstorm Licences and a FREE TICKET to ReactNext Conference!
