React Meetup - Tues Sept 19, 2017

Hey All,

Welcome to another exciting React meetup! We have some great talks lined up

Itinerary:

• 6:00 - 6:30pm - Networking

• 6:30 - 8:00pm - Three Lightning talks

• 8:00 - 8:30pm - Networking and other announcements

• 8:30pm onwards - Drinks after the meetup/someplace close by

Speakers:

1. Rohan Nair - React 16 introduces componentDidCatch. Let's discuss why this is amazing for React development

2. Varun Vachhar - Squashing Higher Order Components

HOC are an amazing technique for handling cross-cutting concerns. However, when composing multiple HOCs we end up with a nested hierarchy. Squashing them allows for better performance and makes debugging easier.

3. Erich Reich - will be covering Realm as an alternative to Redux

Our Goal each month is to have a mix of beginner, intermediate and advanced content. Certain months may have a theme and others, we'll simply try to find interesting talks to share with the group.

Food & drinks will be provided at each meetup. If you have any questions, feel free to ask away. No charge for the event and ideally try to record it for those not attending.
