⚛️⚡ Lightning Talks

🍇 Cooking with React Three Fiber
by Nik Chaourov

Nik will share a recent experience with making a webpage with 3D scenes. Ever thought to dip your toes in WebGL? This is the lightning talk for you.

🌉 Dealing with Immutable Data
by Emanuele Tonello

How to leverage immutability when a React app has to talk with an API and consequently update the state in a way that considers the different state of components and maintains the performance.

🗣⚡️ More Lightning Talks?

The audience is encouraged to suggest lightning talks to the organisers! Grab one of us (Lochlan or Tom) on the night or drop a line at [masked].

The vibes are good.

Come and listen to some quality speakers, network with other frontend devs and chat about all the cool things going on in the React ecosystem.

As always, the meetup is great for both newbies and veterans alike. There is free drinks and food provided. Talks start at 6:30. Feel free to arrive any time after 6:00.

There will be good vibes.

Look out for the signage for ReactBris in the China Town and Brunswick mall entrances. Leave a message on here if you get lost!

You don't need to bring anything along to this meetup, but feel free to bring along work backpacks and laptops because the-space-is-safe.

Street parking can be pretty expensive / luck-driven, so it's often a good idea to part elsewhere and walk in or catch public transport (Fortitude Valley station, or busses).
