Reflections of Diversity in Tech

Details
Good day all,
I recently started asking myself what I could do to try and address the issue of diversity (or lack thereof) in our tech world.
The scenery is complicated and discouraging - at our latest Elixir meetup we only had male attendees π - but thanks to a few connections, I am happy to move a first step.
Sobhi is a human rights expert who does workshops around Europe and the Middle East about Human Rights and Technology. His talk will be thought provoking and probably illuminating to all of us.
Then, we'll have a panel session with a few personalities in the tech & community scene, where opinions on different topics will be discussed between the stage and the crowd. I hope to see lots of you there!
A big thank you to Codemotion for hosting us! Codemotion Amsterdam is back on April 2-3, 2019. Join the largest tech conference for software developers in EMEA with a 30% discount: https://goo.gl/T76ZUx

Talk #1: Reflection of Diversity in Tech
Why is diversity an important topic when it comes to technology? How is that reflected in the industry and what can we do it about it? We will explore this topic, starting from when you started studying programming until nowadays... and maybe what it might look like in the future.
