Applying Event Modeling with Adam Dymitruk
Details
Hello everyone,
for our next joint event with DDD Vienna, we'll be having top expert Adam Dymitruk (https://twitter.com/adymitruk) to give us insights into the "Event Modeling" design framework created by him. Expect a talk as well as a small hands-on design exercise. And here we go! :)

Applying Event Modeling in Your Organization
Event Modeling is a methodology for designing and documenting information systems. It focuses on 2 core aspects: state and time. This simplicity is what makes it one of the most successful practices today. The other aspects of Event Modeling aim to remove the open-ended nature of most design elements. In this session we'll explore what some of these counter-intuitive guidelines provide in achieving simplicity and leveraging the value of collaboration across nearly all roles in the organization.
Adam Dymitruk is the author of Event Modeling and a long practitioner of developing systems through event-driven approaches including Domain Driven Design, Event Sourcing and CQRS. His focus is moving organizations past current practices and their limitations. He is the CEO and founder of Adaptech Group, an organization that specializes in event-driven system design and implementation along with education, VC and accelerator programs that leverage Event Modeling and event-driven implementations.
As mentioned, the 1st half is a "lecture", the second half is hands on. No required accounts or anything similar is needed. Excalidraw and one more format will be provided for people to collaborate over.
We're hosting this meetup on Zoom and will additionally stream it live on YouTube for everyone who prefers that experience. We'll open at 17:50 and start the talk at 18:00.
We're looking forward to having you, Adam, and even with talk and hands-on! Supercool. :)
