Hi Hackers,
This meetup was planned for December 13th but we found that the date wasn't working for most people so we postponed it to January 17th, same place, same time.

Our apologies for it and we look forward to seeing you in January.

(Don't forget to register here. It will help with the number of drinks and food we need to order)

For our first Meetup of 2023, we’re going back to BeCentral in collaboration with Switchfully.

During this session, we will learn in a different way. We will be hacking on React and Angular at the same time.
Yes, you heard me well, Angular and React at the same time.
Using TDD, you’ll be able to learn how to build reusable components in these technologies.

When:
We will meet at BeCentral in Brussels: Kantersteen 10/12, from 17:30 on January 17th.

The challenge:

  • If you use Angular on a daily basis, try to take on the challenge in React. And vice-versa.
Here is how the learning is structured:
    - Using TDD, you try to fix issues on an existing app
    - Once the issues are fixed, you can start adding new features
    - Break the application into small components
    - Make sure the tests are still passing
    - Refactor to meet the best standard possible

Davy Engone will lead the session. Davy has experience working with these 2 technologies for many years.

He’s also busy building a new learning platform for software engineers. Give it a try at Hackages.

Would you like to join as a Mentor? Please, reach out to Davy (007@hackages.io) and let him know you’re interested in helping with the students. You can win up to 200€ in gear.
Thank you to the team at SWITCHFULLY for their support of this event. Check out Switchfully for more information.
