We've used React to build rich single-page applications that are initially rendered on the server. This has the benefits of server-side rendering (SEO, faster initial load, serve clients w/o javascript) without sacrificing the rich client SPA.

Chris Puzzo from Rethink Robotics will talk about developing the UI for the "face" UI (video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b6cEKkunT7A&feature=youtu.be)) of the robot, and interfacing with custom hardware.

Chris will also discuss how they've approached rolling React out to a large, cross-functional team that is largely new to web development (mostly robotocists) and general approach to web development w/ React at scale.
