Advanced "How to make an app in 2018" Showdown

Details

CALL FOR PRESENTERS:

5min Lightning presentations about advanced app strategy for small teams. I'm sure you have an opinion on the best way to make an app in 2018. Might involve React in some way. Tell us about it.

Please email colin.vernon@gmail.com to sign up!

Imagine this: you have a small team, and want the smallest footprint dev & deploy pipeline.

Some Considerations:

  • Native and/or webapp
  • React Native vs React WebViews
  • Swift vs react
  • Shared components vs shared app & business logic
  • Team velocity and single workflow
  • CI & testing
  • Deploy control and speed
  • Versioning & updating

Some example scenarios:

  • Imagine you are looking to deploy to our customers several times a day (i.e. 2 to 3 times) while evolving the platform and making new experiments.
  • Imagine you have multiple frontend UI touchpoints (2 different app use-cases and 2 different admin dashboard experiences), and want to simplify codebase & development paradigms)

Proposed date [location tbd] : Feb 13, 2018

• What to bring
