January talks:

1. Custom React Renderer - Marek Magdziak

We will dive into React internals by creating our own renderer using the React reconciler package.

About the speaker:

Marek Magdziak is a gifted fullstack developer who codes mostly in C# and JavaScript. He is currently employed as a senior software developer at Telia. Marek is also an amateur game developer/designer with a ton of great and unfinished ideas.

2. Monorepo with React / React-native - Sijan Gurung

Sijan recently implemented a monorepo for a project with two react-native apps. He tried a number of different google suggested techniques, and ended up using yarn-workspaces with haul. In this talk he will be sharing experiences on how to implement a monorepo with multiple applications with either react-native or reactJs projects along with a short demo on how to setup things.

About the Speaker:

Sijan Gurung is a consultant at Bouvet Norge and has more than a decade of experience. Primarily a senior android developer, he develops apps with kotlin for native and react-native for hybrid. He has been developing apps using react-native for the last few years and has worked with various mobile apps including Dipper, Obos medlemskort, Gjensidige forsikring, Hold , Vinmonopolet etc. Likes to talk about clean code and separation of concerns across various platforms.
