Title: MCP is dead, long live MCP
MCP’s direct tool-calling model worked great for small agents, but it starts to crack at scale. Cloudflare and Anthropic are now pushing a new pattern: instead of having models call tools directly, they ask the model to write code that calls those tools. This shift cuts token bloat, improves reliability, and makes large tool ecosystems far easier to manage.This talk breaks down why MCP has struggled to scale, how “code-execution-as-orchestration” works, and what it means for developers building AI-powered React and web applications.
