🎤 Building React Websites And Apps With Markdown
Guillermo Rauch (https://twitter.com/rauchg)

Markdown is one of the simplest ways to get started writing a rich text document. It places the focus on the content itself, which helps get started quickly and iterate frequently. It has been challenging so far to mix and match the simplicity of Markdown with the sophistication of React and its component system. As a result, we propose MDX, a new specification for augmenting Markdown documents with JSX and the ECMAScript import system. I’ll discuss the origin of the idea, its predecessors, how we are using it at ZEIT and what novel applications we see in its future.
