I try to include a blurb about why each month’s book holds promise for a good discussion, and then I follow it with an official description of the book. When reading reviews and discussion guides for this month’s book, I quickly realized that there are so many different topics to discuss (social hierarchy, corruption and opportunity, impact of globalization, gender roles - and that’s just the tip of the iceberg). I don’t want to do the book a disservice by skimming over the summary. What I will say, however, is that I’m actually going to purchase this one because I have a feeling that I’ll want to (gasp) mark it up.
