April Book Club Meeting at VIFF Centre

Hello readers!

We're trying out a new location this month. One of our members, Tom, works at VIFF Centre and has arranged for us to use one of their meeting rooms this month. If you are not familiar with VIFF, it's a great downtown cinema, and the year-round home to the Vancouver International Film Festival. Maybe you've seen a film there in the past, or maybe you've never visited before. Whatever the case, it should make for a nice, quiet downtown meeting spot. One of the benefits of this venue change is that it allows for a later start time and more flexible end time. VIFF Centre is located at 1181 Seymour St in Vancouver.

Be aware that it is an active cinema, so when you enter you will need to ask the usher for directions. Just tell them you are there for the book club. You'll be directed to a room upstairs which can be accessed by either stairs or elevator. There will be a sign for the book club outside the room.

As usual, there is no assigned book for this book club. Just show up and talk about what you've been reading, have recently finished or even just recommend something you have enjoyed in the past. Everyone will have a chance to share their books and hopefully generate some discussion.

This meetup is limited to 14 people, but there will also be a waiting list. If you RSVP, please make an effort to join us. If you are on the Waitlist, a few spots typically open up in the last few days leading up to the event, so don't despair!
