T.S. Eliot's 'Little Gidding'

This time we will conclude our reading of Four Quartets (1936-43) by T.S. Eliot (1888-1965). We will be reading the great final poem, Little Gidding (1942), a poem about fire which paradoxically can be purging as well as destructive. Its title references a village in Cambridgeshire which had been home to a religious community during the turbulent years of the English Civil War in the seventeenth century.
