At his meeting we will continue our reading of the poetry of W.B. Yeats (1865-1939). We will look in particular on one of his greatest poems, ‘Among School Children’ which was written in 1928 and which focuses on questions of youth and age. We will also look at other poems such as ‘The Tower’, ‘Nineteen Hundred and Nineteen’ and ‘Leda and the Swan.’
The poems can be found here: https://docenti.unimc.it/claudio.micaelli/teaching/2022/26040/files/Edipo%20p.%20229%20William%20Butler%20Yeats%20-%20The%20Collected%20Poems%20of%20W.B.%20Yeats.pdf
All are welcome. Feel free to take part by joining in discussion or simply by listening to the proceedings. You need not have been part of an earlier meeting on Yeats to take part.
