The brewery's licence on a Sunday does not permit them to have customers prior to 1 p.m., so please do not enter the premises before this time.

PERENNIAL INFORMATION
A popular session of general gaming, covering all styles and levels of complexity. Unless the brewery is closed or some other event prevents us from doing so, this session will take place every Sunday.

The event starts at 1:15, with most people arriving shortly after that time, but you are welcome to turn up later. There is generally a good mix of quick and more involved games going on, so you're unlikely to be waiting too long for a game but it may still be worth posting on here if you are going to be later.

We will usually be in the 'Neon' bar, which has a great selection of tables, and even sofas for a bit of laid-back social deduction if that's your bag.

Please bring along anything you fancy playing, or just come with an open mind and join in with what others have brought; there will always be plenty of games present.

The brewery doesn't charge us for using their fantastic space, so please do spend something across the bar if you can afford to.

HOW TO FIND US:
It is less than 15 minutes walk from the train station and the centre of town, and there is parking immediately outside the venue. You can also lock bikes up to the fencing easily.

It all looks industrial from the outside but don't let that put you off. The entrance is the door towards the right of the building as you face it, and a warm and welcoming new world awaits those who venture through it.

Once inside look left and the Neon Bar is through the open doorway. You'll know us by the large piles of games spread around the area.

FOOD & DRINK:
It's a brewery so beer is plentiful. I personally test as much as I can for quality control purposes. No need to thank me.
They also have other alcoholic and soft drinks.

Food is provided by 7Bone, offering a full restaurant menu (https://7bone.co.uk/locations/reading) with last orders at 5.

ANYTHING ELSE?

• The brewery's Sunday licence runs from 1 to 6 p.m., so please do not arrive before this and bear the time in mind when choosing which games to start later in the day.
• Every game is personally owned by one of our members, so please treat them with respect and be especially careful with food and drink.
• At the moment there is no charge for this event. We are not a professional organisation and the hosts and organisers give their time freely to make this happen and to share their love of gaming.
• Any problems before, during or after the event please message or speak to the host(s) in the first instance, or message any member of the Leadership Team and someone should get back to you.

Join us for our regular Tuesday board game evening at the Castle Tap.

All are welcome! There is usually a good selection of games to play brought along by members who are always happy to teach them, or alternatively please bring along any of your own games you would like to play. The games are owned by our members personally, so please treat them with respect and be especially careful with food and drink.

The event starts at 6pm, but you can arrive or leave at any time. Let us know if you are going to arrive later and we'll try to make sure there is a game for you to jump into.

We are in the TV room at the back of the pub. If the weather is nice we may be in the pub garden instead

How to get there:

The venue is just outside the town centre, with plenty of public transport around. Strongly recommend using public transport or walking if you are able.

Parking: There is a very small car park at the back of the pub off Anstey Road, space for 2 or 3 cars. There are usually spaces along the curb outside the car park which is single yellow line. Parking can be quite limited though.

Food and Drink:

Full range of drinks, alcoholic, hot and non-alcoholic.

Please note only bar snacks and a cheese board are available, but the pub is OK with ordering in your own food.

General Conduct:
· Don’t Be a Dick
· Have Fun: We are all here to have fun, so please both have fun and try to make sure others have fun too
· Respect All Members: Treat fellow players with respect and courtesy
· Inclusive Environment: Ensure a welcoming atmosphere for everyone, regardless of skill level or experience.

Game Play Rules:
· Fair Play: Play honestly and adhere to the rules of the game
· Respect The Rules Teach: Make a concerted effort to learn the rules of the game. If you already know the rules, try not to distract from the person explaining the rules

Meeting Ettiquette:
· Attention to Games: Some mobile use is to be expected, but this is a social group so try to limit it
· Respect Peoples Property: All the games belong to someone in the group, please treat them with respect e.g. don’t bend cards, don’t pick at stickers etc. Also ask permission when you borrow a game, you will likely get a yes, but the owner may want to leave soon or may wish to play themselves
· Food and Drinks: Consume food and drinks responsibly. If there are any spillages try to ensure the games are protected. People may be willing to share food but ask permission and share the food in a hygienic way
· Clean Up: Help clean up after the game session, returning all pieces and materials to their proper places

Conflict Resolution:
· Stay Calm: Handle disputes calmly and respectfully
· Rule Disputes: If there are rule disputes and the rule book and/or internet cannot clear the dispute, come to a decision as a group
· Talk To the Hosts: If you feel uncomfortable feel free to approach one of the hosts or a senior member of the group and we will do our best to deal with any conflicts

Feedback:
· Feedback and Suggestions: Constructive feedback and suggestions to improve the group experience are more than welcome

The owner is aware we are coming and we should have some reserved table space. But if not, please look for table space when you arrive.

Yay, Reading Board Games Social (RBGS) meetups near Wokingham! We're a friendly group for experienced gamers or if you're new to the world of board games.

The Outhouse Brewery (https://theouthousebrewery.com/) is a brewpub in Wokingham. It serves a range of snacks and alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to enjoy while you're gaming. Please be aware that the brewery does not serve meals, so eat before you arrive.

Please be sure to buy some food and drinks as the venue is not charging us to use its space.

It is useful for the venue and organisers to have an indication of how many people we are expecting, so please only use the RSVP in MeetUp if you plan to attend. But no problem if you plan to join, but then are not able to.

Organisers will bring some games, but please feel free to bring your own and if you want to pre plan, please use the comments section.
