Saturday with Caesar

Join us as we finally get back to the beginning of Caesar's account of the Gallic War, which, aside from being an epic story in and of itself, dramatically changed the history of Western Europe and positioned Caesar to be a contender for absolute power in Rome, a prize he would ultimately claim after the Civil War against Pompey and his allies, effectively ending centuries of republican tradition in Rome.

We're going to spend a little time exploring the background of the text, playing vocabulary games, doing some puzzles, and setting aside a solid 15-20 minutes to read the unadapted (!) text.
