Creating successful data products

Gaining true value from data only comes when the business buys in and uses that data. Dave will discuss the concept of a data product, what you need to make one, and how to make it successful and measure that success within your business. Breaking from the mantra of “single source of truth” he will also discuss the merits of competition within the business, and how evolution can lead to better products.

Dave Lusty works in the Customer Success Unit at Microsoft in the data and AI team. He has worked at Microsoft for 5 years mainly in the retail and consumer goods sector helping customers to build out cloud data platforms. Dave has a particular interest in agile development of the data platform, as well as operational efficiency and governance. In addition to his work at Microsoft, Dave also runs a YouTube channel and Git repository called Dave Does Demos where he writes and demonstrates all aspects of technology in the data realm.

Keep that information to yourself: Azure Private

Azure is the modern data centre built for the internet age. But what if it doesn’t have to be? Can we really keep our data off the internet within a public cloud? During this session Marc will explore how we can keep our Azure data secure with Azure Private Endpoints. Since we’re not using the internet, what networking Ace does Azure have up its sleeve? All will be revealed in this demo rich session.

Marc Dunbar is a senior cloud consultant at Coeo with 15 years’ experience in infrastructure, networking and security. During that time, Marc spent several years at Microsoft as a Premier Field Engineer and is also a Microsoft certified trainer.
