Emotional Intelligence Practice

Details

Hi Folks,

Are you interested in developing your emotional intelligence and your ability to connect with others in supportive and compassionate ways?

Join us for our Emotional Intelligence Practice, a two-hour peer-led experience designed to help us build empathy, deepen self-awareness, and foster meaningful connection.

During this session, we’ll randomly pair up and rotate partners to practice the following format:

  • 10 minutes – One person shares their current emotional experience related to a situation, while the partner actively listens without interrupting.
  • 5 minutes – The listening partner reflects back what they heard, offering empathy and imagining how that experience might feel.
  • 5 minutes – Both partners discuss the exchange and share feedback on the experience.

Then, you’ll switch roles.

We’ll go through five partner rounds, with a brief 10-minute opening circle and 10-minute closing reflection.

Whether you’re new to emotional work or have experience, you’re warmly welcome to join us and grow together in a safe, respectful space.

A few logistics:
This event runs close to dinner time, so feel free to bring a snack if you think you’ll get hungry. After the session, anyone who’d like to continue connecting is welcome to join us at a nearby spot for some food, drinks, and relaxed conversation.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Warmly,
Ryan
