30th Annual Winter Jazz Workshop Open House Jam Session

Greetings Jazz Lovers,
Are you ready to take your jazz skills to the next level? Do you want to learn from one of the best jazz instructors in the World, or at least NE Maple Leaf? Do you want to have fun and meet other jazz enthusiasts?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you should join Ev Stern's Jazz Workshop which is going into its Fourth Decade with the 2024 Winter Jazz Workshop!
This workshop is open to all levels, all ages, and all instruments. Whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced player, you will find a place to grow and improve your life with improvisation.
The workshop consists of Weekly Ensembles and classes that are tailored to your abilities, interests, and availability. You will also have the option to add supplemental private lessons with Ev Stern at a discounted rate, or other teachers in the studio.
Here are the details:
Dates: January 1- February 29

Location: Ev Stern's Jazz Workshop
Rates: Depends on your level of involvement
Register in Person, on the phone, or via email
Open House Jam Session and Winter Registration: Saturday January 6th, Noon-4 PM.
After Regular Registration ends, Ev will mix and match people into Ensembles according to your abilities, interests, and availability.
Ensembles start immediately and meet weekly for 8 weeks.
Level I Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced
Level II Intermediate/Advanced
Level III Advanced
Rates:
Ensembles

$400 for 8 weeks, due in full in advance
To get the most out of your Workshop experience, all players are encouraged to take supplemental private lessons with a teacher of your choice.
Supplemental Private Lessons

Combo A: 4 hours of private lessons for $200, for a total of $600, due in full in advance
Combo B: 2 hours of private lessons for $100, for a total of $500 due in full in advance
Combo C: If you decide later, you can add private lessons at Ev Stern's studio rate of $20 per 15 minutes.
Earlybird Registration: NOW till the New Year begins, save $50.
Regular Registration January 1-January 6 at 5 PM.
Late Registration: $25
All Workshop Players are expected to attend the Open House Jam Session and Registration from Noon-4 at least long enough to fill out registration materials including your Schedule Info, your Background and Goals, and your Level of Commitment.

Annual Jazz Workshop rate

Sign up for Four Seasons for Workshops for $1,600 and get a bonus of 4 hours of private lessons annually
$2,000 gets a bonus of 8 hours of lessons annually

$2,400 gets a bonus of 12 hours of lessons annually
2024 Private Music Lessons
In addition to Leading the Jazz Workshop, Ev Stern has room for 20 students a month. Priority scheduling with those who make a 12-month commitment
Studio Lesson rate:

$80 per hour
$20 per 15 minutes
Preschedule and prepay before the beginning of each month.

Ev Stern's Studio is home not only to Ev and his dog Aero and his Jazz Workshop, but Ev hosts a variety of other teachers who use the space, as well as bands who rehearse. Not only a Music space. Ev is devoted to holding space for creatives and thinkers to come and explore and share their passions for the Arts, Classics, Philosophy, and Shakespeare, Writing, and Conversation.
