About us
Reading Women is a monthly book club in Barcelona dedicated to reading women beyond the usual circuits, with a focus on international literature. We read fiction, essays, short stories, or poetry — across different countries, periods, and traditions. The reading list is announced in advance, and suggestions are always welcome. The discussion is held in English, but you’re free to read the book in any language.
We meet on the last Friday of each month, from 6:00 to 7:00 pm, at Backstory Bookshop. After the discussion, we have a casual get-together over coffee or drinks for those who feel like staying.
The club is open to all readers, whether you’re a regular book club person or just curious to join. If you enjoy reading women, discovering new voices, and good conversation, you’re very welcome to join.
