The book that we will review together in July will be

'Tunnel 29' by Helena Merriman

In this book, Helena Merriman tells the gripping true story of a daring escape beneath the Berlin Wall in 1962. It centers around Joachim Rudolph, a young student, who escaped East Germany but risked returning to dig a tunnel from West to East Berlin to help others flee the oppressive regime.

Merriman has based this book on the extensive interviews she had with the survivors and her own research, to tell the story of extraordinary courage, ingenuity and determination.

This book has been on my TBR list for a long time. Hope you like it, looking forward to discussing it with you all.
