The Readary Meeting - December '26

Hello All,

For our final read of 2026 we will be boarding
'The Midnight Train' by Matt Haig.

It is a mysterious and slightly magical story that begins with a train that doesn’t appear on any timetable. As the Midnight Train rattles through strange stations and impossible landscapes, each stop reveals a new possibility - a life that could be, a truth that’s been avoided, or a choice waiting to be made. And somewhere between the carriages, the journey becomes far more important than the destination.

It feels just right for December - intriguing, thought-provoking and full of the kind of questions we’ll want to unpack together.

Some of you might remember us reading The Midnight Library together in the book club back in September 2022. So 4 years later, let’s return to Matt Haig for another journey into life's possibilities and end our reading year with a reminder that sometimes the strangest detours can lead us somewhere unexpected.

Happy Reading!
