The book we will read and review together in March will be

'James' by Percival Everett

*Book Summary

Published in 2024, James is a brilliant, action-packed reimagining of Mark Twain's famous 1884 classic Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.
Written from the perspective of Huck's companion, the enslaved Jim, Everett takes Huck's buddy Jim and turns him into a cautious, literate Black man who makes his wary way by pretending to be the stereotypical, ignorant slave of minstrel folk song, and talking in colloquial dialect.
