Welcome to Ready, Set, Trail
We are a group of outdoor enthusiasts focused on building hiking fitness and pushing your limits on the trails in and around Toronto. Our events are designed to help you become a stronger, more capable hiker, while also exploring the city’s hidden ravines and trails beyond Toronto.
Who Should Join?
- Hikers who want to improve endurance, strength, and speed
- Fitness enthusiasts looking for challenging outdoor workouts
- Trail lovers who want to explore Toronto’s urban nature and beyond
- Anyone who enjoys group hikes with like-minded adventurers
While our primary focus is hiking fitness, we also enjoy planning events such as paddling, cycling, running, overnight trips, and other indoor or outdoor.

Participation in Ready, Set, Trail events is entirely at your own risk. Organizers, hosts, and group members are not responsible for any injuries, accidents, lost or damaged property, or other incidents that may occur before, during, or after the events.
Our activities may include hiking, paddling, cycling, running, overnight trips, and other indoor or outdoor events of varying pace, distance, and difficulty. Please ensure that you are physically prepared for the specific event you join, bring the appropriate gear, and remain aware of your surroundings at all times.
Events may take place in changing or challenging weather conditions and may be scheduled for, or extend partially or entirely into, low-light, nighttime, or overnight settings. Participants are responsible for checking forecasts, bringing appropriate lighting and gear, dressing suitably, and deciding whether to take part based on their comfort and safety.
Ready, Set, Trail may assist with travel coordination (e.g., carpool matching) as a courtesy to members. All transportation arrangements are made voluntarily between participants, and organizers assume no responsibility for drivers, passengers, vehicles, schedules, or incidents that occur before, during, or after travel.
Members who bring guests are fully responsible for informing them of this disclaimer and ensuring that their guests understand and accept these terms before participating.

(LAST MINUTE) Beginner Finch Station Biking/Cycling Loop – L1 (Leisure)
Finch Station, Yonge & Finch, Toronto, ON, CAJoin us for a beginner-friendly North York cycling ride
This ride is all about enjoying the trail while building confidence on two wheels. We’ll cruise at a relaxed pace along the scenic Upper Don Recreation Trail, keeping things fun, safe, and beginner-friendly.
No one gets left behind, and we’ll stop for breaks when needed, perfect if you’re new to cycling, getting back into it, or just looking for a fun and active way to spend time outdoors.
Bring your bike, water, and good energy and we’ll take care of the rest.
This event is a go Rain or Shine
Distance & Duration:
- Length of Ride: ~19km
- Event duration: 2 hours
- Difficulty level: L1/Leisure
What to Bring:
- Water/Snacks: 1-2 liters
- Required Gear:
- Bike (in safe working condition)
- Helmet (Highly recommended)
- Front & rear lights or reflectors (we should be done before it gets dark, but good to have them on)

- Member Event fee: FREE EVENT
Travel Coordination:
- No Travel Coordination for this Event, Meeting at Starting Point
- Review GO and TTC Buses & Trains bike policy
Event Guidelines:
- Punctuality, Please arrive on time so we can start promptly. We won't be able to wait for more than 5min past the start time
- Pack out everything you bring (including nut shells, fruit peels, etc.) to help keep our trails clean.
- RSVP: Only those marked as “Going” and have confirmed travel details (if requested) are eligible to attend the event.
- If your plans change and you are no longer able to attend, please update your RSVP as soon as possible.
- No-shows without prior communication may result in removal from future events.
- Weather Considerations The event is a go (light) rain or shine, so please be prepared for the conditions. for example, If it’s expected to rain, waterproof gear (like a jacket or shoes)
- Pets: please check with the organizer for details before bringing your pet.
