What we’re about

Censorship and political correctness are threatening our freedom of speech and stunting intellectual conversation. Any positive change starts with an idea, but how do we get to good ideas without discussing and brainstorming with people who will challenge us to always be better? How can we start to reverse the polarization of political parties that has made it so hard for us to have honest conversations with each other?

I propose to start a "book club" in the form of a "video club" that inspires and directs philosophical, political, spiritual discussions between members of differing points of view or political leanings. I would like to do this using mostly material from a YouTube talk show called the Rubin Report (www.rubinreport.com). If you haven’t heard of him, Dave Rubin interviews important thought leaders of today as well as actors and authors from all different perspectives. All his interviews are done respectfully with a refreshing open-mindedness to differing of opinions.

I would like to take a page from his book and start a group that fosters the same kind of real conversations that we need to have to grow as individuals and help our community. The goal of the group will not only be discussion, but using our discussion to brainstorm potential solutions that could have a real impact on the world. Let’s show that people of differing points of view can come together, respect one another, and turn good ideas into reality!
