As a continuation of our November 2010 talk Software tools for data analysis ( https://www.meetup.com/LAarea-R-usergroup/events/15077745/ -- video recording here: http://www.r-bloggers.com/RUG/2011/02/software-tools-for-data-analysis-an-overview/ ), we'll explore in more details Python as a tool/framework for data analysis and how that compares with R.
This will also be a joint meeting with the Southern California Python Interest Group ( http://socal-piggies.org/scp ).
