Fellow Investors,,
Rich Lennon here.
Alright, we've got a really solid meetup coming up this Tuesday, September 10th, and I want to make sure you don't miss it. We're meeting at The Great American Ranch in Midlothian from 6:30 to 8:30 PM, and I've got a special guest who's going to share some strategies that could change how you think about investing.
Jon Siler is coming to talk about impact investing.
Now, if you don't know Jon, you should. This guy runs the R.I.S.E. real estate investor group here in Richmond, and he's been in the game for years. He's not some theoretical guy who talks about investing - he's actually doing deals and making money. And more importantly, he understands how to make money while making a positive impact in the community.
I know some of you are thinking, "Rich, what the heck is impact investing?" Well, that's exactly what Jon is going to break down for us. How do you structure deals that not only put money in your pocket but actually improve the neighborhoods we're investing in? How do you find properties that generate solid returns while helping communities?
Look, we all know that real estate investment can change communities for the better when it's done right. But there's a strategy to it, and there are ways to do it that benefit everyone involved - you, the community, and your investors. Jon's going to show us exactly how that works.
I'll also be giving you a market update.
Things are moving in Richmond real estate right now, and if you're not paying attention, you're missing opportunities. I'll break down what I'm seeing in the numbers, where the deals are, and what I think is coming next. You know I don't sugarcoat anything - I'll give you the real picture of what's happening out there.
Here's what you need to know:
When: Wednesday, September 10th, 6:30-8:30 PM Where: The Great American Ranch, Midlothian, VA What: Jon Siler on impact investing + my market update Cost: Free for members (and you get a drink ticket)
Now, here's the thing about these meetups - the real value isn't just in the presentation. It's in the networking. It's in the conversations you have before the meeting starts and after it's over. It's meeting the guy who's got money to lend, or the woman who's got a deal she needs help with, or the contractor who actually shows up on time.
So here's what I want you to do: Show up a little early and stay a little late. Don't be the person who walks in right at 6:30 and leaves the second we're done. Get there at 6:15, grab your free drink, and start talking to people. And when Jon's done talking, don't rush out to beat traffic. Stick around, ask questions, exchange business cards.
The people who make the most money in real estate are the people who build relationships. The deals don't come from the internet - they come from the guy sitting next to you who knows someone who needs to sell a property fast. The private money doesn't come from banks - it comes from the person you met at a networking event who's tired of getting 1% returns from Navy Federal.
You want to grow your money? Start by growing your network.
And bring business cards. I can't tell you how many people show up to these things and then can't figure out how to stay in touch with someone they just met. Bring cards, or at least have your contact info ready to share.
That's it. Tuesday, September 10th, 6:30 PM at The Great American Ranch in Midlothian. Jon Siler talking impact investing, me with a market update, and all the networking you can handle.
See you there.
Rich Lennon
P.S. - If you've never been to one of our RING meetups before, don't be intimidated. We've got everyone from people just getting started to folks who've been doing this for decades. Everyone was new once, and everyone remembers what that felt like. Just show up, introduce yourself, and start learning.
