Shame is not always loud.
Sometimes it appears as the sentence you don’t say.
The part of your body you try to hide.
The desire you immediately judge.
The moment you make yourself smaller because you are afraid of what somebody else might think.

On 30 September, Real Women returns to ATMA with Adri for an evening exploring shame through the body, reflection and conversation.
We’ll begin with cacao and a short practice to arrive.

Adri will then guide a somatic journey using breath, movement, sound and visualisation, inviting you to notice how shame feels in your own body and what patterns or stories may be connected to it.
The intention is not to force shame away or turn the evening into a confession.
It is to become curious about it.
Where did I learn that this part of me was unacceptable?
What happens in my body when I feel exposed or judged?
Where am I still trying to become a more acceptable version of myself?
Afterwards, there will be time for journaling and honest conversation about the ways shame can influence our relationship with ourselves, our bodies and other people.
You can share as much or as little as feels right.
