You are warmly invited to another gripping Murder Mystery evening with Rebel City Drama Club! Our Christmas meet-up is a little different to the rest! We are hosting a thrilling nostalgia trip to the 1980s, with a chilling crime at its heart!
It’s July 13th 1985… the day of a certain legendary musical charity event! But in the quiet village of Windy Lowback, another event less savoury than Live Aid is about to ‘rock you’! The stand-in Postmistress of the village, Penny Black, is gruesomely murdered in Windy Lowback’s Post Office! The county’s top sleuth, Detective Inspector Dart, is soon on the case and rounding up the suspects! All the evidence points to two guilty parties…but just who wrapped up Penny’s life and addressed her to the heavens?
A small group of RCDC members will perform Acts 1 and 2 to establish the murder, the circumstances and the suspects. Then, during the main interval, the audience will work in teams to figure out which two of the suspects are responsible! Listen carefully for possible clues, and keep careful notes as the action proceeds. And practice your groans for the 80s music references along the way!
The solution will be revealed in Act 3 once everyone submits their answers – and we have prizes for the team with the best detectives!
There will also be a short Christmas quiz to follow the Murder Mystery, with further prizes to be won – so get swotting!
Food and drink will be provided. Please bring pens and spare paper for note-taking!
€5 per person. Teams can be up to 4 people – please arrive in good time to be sure of a seat!
