What we’re about
We are retirees or people who can join in on weekday daytime events. Walking easy trails, biking easy trails, walking tours, exploring museums and interesting sites . Trying to do somewhat active things and not sedentary stuff. Basically I identify a date and venue and you show up. No age range but please be aware of any physical issues. Everyone is responsible for their own safety and actions. I know many belong to other Meet Ups and do other activities so if there is something you think might work for RFAR please let me know. The goal here is to make sure recess never ends.

The Arbor Evenings music series at the NC Arboretum is great. Let's go as a group to see the Arbor Trio and Celtic Road. Many of us have enjoyed the Arbor Trio at the Bent Creek Bistro on Tuesdays. You can bring food in but you may NOT bring your own alcohol. They will have food trucks and you can buy beer and wine from the Arboretum.
If you want to ride with a member please put a comment online by noon on Tuesday, July 15 so we can arrange to meet you and drive you in. There is no additional charge for the music - just the $20.00 per car parking fee and Members enter with their pass so if you ride with a Member you get in free. I highly recommend membership at the NC Arboretum. They are a wonderful asset to our area and the annual $60 membership fee is a bargain.
This event is outdoors so weather may change the plans. Sometimes they move indoors to the Baker Lobby which is not huge so we'll need to be flexible. You can bring your own chair but they usually have some folding chairs available. There are restrooms in the Baker Building. Leashed dogs are allowed outdoors but NOT inside the building.
