Carl Sandburg House Trails easy/moderate

Meet 10 AM at the hikers parking lot which is past the main parking area .Address: 1928 Little River road Flat Rock. Look for RFAR signs and familiar faces. Walk various trails for about 1 and 1/2 hours.Some may be moderate based on incline.Walking stick is good. There is a shuttle van to help get you around if needed from certain points on the property** No restrooms or water at this time..only port a potty.* Check website www.nps.gov/carl for more details etc. There are a couple of short videos about him you can sit and watch in one of the out buildings. This event is basically walking the trails and giving you an overview of the property. Chance to interact with goats.You may want to consider returning for another time to explore more. . If you want to tour the house you have to book it yourself and is now first come.first served. Lunch option @ Flat Rock Bakery or Hubba Hubba Smokehouse near by is a famous local establishment.
