Meet 10 AM Wednesday June 25 2025 at Pink Beds Picnic area trail head parking lot . Walk close to 4 mile short loop. Elevation ,tree roots and narrow bridges ... so can be a moderate trail. Please be aware of your limitations and abilities. Good shoes ,water and walking stick suggested. Dogs on leash allowed. Bring picnic lunch and leave in your car for afterwards. We will meet at the Pink Beds Picnic trail head and hike the loop: approximately 4 miles. Look for RFAR signs and familiar faces. Restrooms available. Usually NO CELL phone service.

This hike is fairly accessible, with decent parking, hardwood forests, open meadows, and stream side paths. If you feel the trail is too difficult you can walk 3 one mile paved paths at Cradle of Forestry 11250 Pisgah Hwy .2 miles away and join us for lunch as an option. The indoor center at Cradle of Forestry alone host 15 hands-on exhibits, a 26-minute documentary of the Biltmore Forest School (very educational!), a gift shop, and a cafe.

Options: Bring a lunch if you like ...to eat at the picnic tables after the hike at Pink Beds .
Option: only .2 miles the trail head is the Cradle of the Forestry Visitor Center and $8 admission Can walk 1 mile paved path to view 7 buildings used for the school around 1900.
