NC Arboretum Bent Creek and Carolina Mountain Loop

Join Recess for Active Retirees (RFAR) for a pleasant walk through the NC Arboretum. Meet at the Baker Visitor Center 10 AM ... either inside or outside by the benches. Look for RFAR signs and smiling faces. Restrooms available in the Baker Center. Also, a chance to buy the annual pass and apply the admission $ toward your annual pass. RFAR does several events, and it is probably worth your while to purchase the annual pass. Also, there is reciprocity with other botanical gardens across the country.
Walk @ 2 MPH for Two-and-a-half-mile hike through the gardens, along Bent Creek Creekside trail and Carolina Mountain trail. Elevation 200 ft. Gravel path.
Option: Lunch at the Bistro afterwards.
