This is a busy venue so doing before school gets out to hopefully enjoy a quieter experience. Catawba Falls is about 25 miles east of Asheville near Exit 73 from I-40. y. Some folks may choose to stay at the foot of the falls. This option is about 2 miles round trip. It's rated moderate so not a smooth stroll, this is a hike. For those who want to go to the upper falls it is about 3.5 miles round trip with lots of stairs.

We will use the River trail and the stairs for those who want to go further up. There are two wonderful bridges that make the river crossings much easier. Will check to see if Wildflower and Upper Viewing Platform are still closed due to damage from the storm.

Look for RFAR signs in the parking lot. Bring a picnic lunch to leave in your car and there are picnic tables to enjoy it afterwards . Hiking poles are recommended. There maybe be some updates so check back a few days before. Ben 561 425-3077 bbsdob525@aol.com
