NC Arboretum moderate ( not easy) trails walk
Details
FYI Posting this now due to short time frame. Check back as may be some updates by Deborah ...Meet 10 AM @ NC Arboretum outside of Baker Center near covered benches.. Look for RFAR t-shirt I will be wearing and maybe RFAR signs . Deborah will be the guest leader for this.(Thanks) Walk about 1 and 1/2 to 2 hours on moderate trails. Bring water and wear comfortable shoes.. Walking stick is good. Admission is 25 per car. If you know others you can car pool and split the fee. If you contact your local library you may be able to get a free pass via Zoom. I bought the annual pass 60. as nice to visit several times a year and we will have several more walks .Also the pass has reciprocity at 300 other gardens around the country. Mostly moderate elevation but there is an incline going down and back up but we will take our time. See above photo. If you pay the $25 entrance fee that day it can be credited towards the annual pass. Can do lunch at Bent Creek Bistro or bring your own to leave in your car. Should have music outside for lunch .Also wander the gardens at your own pace. Hope you can make it Ben bbsdob525@aol.com 561 425-3077
The only thing I have to add is that for those who do not have an Arboretum membership, I can meet you (up to 3 people) at the Discount Shoes warehouse near the Arboretum to drive in with me. Having a membership allows you to take others in your car at no additional cost. Feel free to text me(Deborah) at 954-415-7071 if you want a ride in.
