What we’re about
Working remotely, or spending most of your days alone, can be a gift. The freedom, the flexibility, the ability to build a life on your own terms. But if we’re being honest, it can also create a bubble that’s hard to explain to people who don’t live it.
As Black women, especially as we get older, that bubble gets even more real. Life is happening. Growth is happening. Aging is happening. Identity shifts are happening. And a lot of us are navigating all of it quietly, privately, and without the kind of community we had in earlier seasons of life. Many people don’t understand it. They judge it, question it, or assume it’s “easy” because we’re not physically in an office. But the reality is: isolation is isolation, even when the lifestyle is a blessing.
This group is for Black women who work remotely, work from home, freelance, run businesses, are in transition, or simply spend long hours in their own world and want to reconnect in ways that feel adult, grounding, and real. Community, conversation, friendship, wellness, shared experiences, and “I get it, sis” moments, without pressure, performance, or pretending.
A $5 monthly due will begin after a 14-day trial period.
While there may not be events posted, connection can start now. The $5 monthly due reflects intention and helps support the cost to keep this space available. It not only helps cover the cost of keeping the group open but also gives me clarity on who’s actually interested in participating.
Events and activities will be shaped by the engagement of those who resonates with this group. We can explore meetups, conversations, coworking, wellness days, dinners, walks, chat threads, or simple ways to stay connected virtually and IRL.
If this resonates, join and say hello.
This space is for the women who feel the bubble and want a place where they don’t have to explain it.
