About us
This is a group for people who want to build genuine, lasting relationships through the framework outlined below.
A Path to Reconnection
π₯ PART 1
I. Problem
We are becoming more disconnected from ourselves, others, and nature.
This can be seen in mental suffering, social conflict, and ecological destruction.
Recognising this is the first step toward a new cycle of reconnection.
II. Ancestry
Disconnection is a byproduct of the decline of the tight-knit groups in which human beings evolved to thrive.
It began with civilisation, accelerated through urbanisation, and intensified with industrialisation.
This shows that human disconnection goes hand in hand with materialism.
III. Traditions
Ancient philosophy, Buddhism, and Christianity responded to the disconnection brought about by urbanisation.
These traditions share one guiding principle: treating others as we wish to be treated, which is increasingly difficult to live by.
This means that we need a new response to the disconnection brought about by industrialisation.
π₯ PART 2
I. Dysregulation Awareness

β’ Freeze (shutdown): procrastination, indecision, withdrawal, fatigue, numbness, etc.
β’ Fawn (submission): overagreeing, overhelping, overflattering, overapologising, etc.
2. Dysregulation awareness leads to openness
β’ Humility: seeing dysregulation in ourselves
β’ Equality: seeing dysregulation in everyone
β’ Compassion: seeing dysregulation as pain
βββ
3. Openness leads to relational integrity
βββββββ
β’ Accountability: owning dysregulation
β’ Boundaries: limiting dysregulationβ
β’ Transparency: letting dysregulation be seen
βββββββββ
4. Relational integrity leads to co-regulation
ββ
β’ Credibility: feeling trusted
β’ Dignity: feeling respected
β’ Belonging: feeling accepted
ββββ
5. Co-regulation leads to self-regulation
ββ
β’ Balance: becoming more regulated
β’ Resilience: recovering faster from dysregulation
β’ Presence: offering deeper co-regulation

Point 1 explains how to recognise dysregulation through behaviour.
Point 2 explains the shift in perception that follows.
Point 3 explains the shift in behaviour that follows.
Point 4 explains the growing experience of being loved that follows.
Point 5 explains the growing capacity to love that follows.
III. Process
Dysregulation Awareness goes from self-preservation to autonomy.
It is a description of the modern process of psychological growth.
It provides understanding, orientation, and fuel for further growth.
