At this event, we'll be filming prairie dogs during their brief annual mating season. This is the one window each year when these colonies erupt into chasing, wrestling, territorial fighting, and the "kiss" greeting (see event cover photo). By mid-April, the mating season is over.

The refuge is free to enter. We'll park at the visitor center, and then carpool in my car to go find the prairie dogs. We'll spend the early morning filming the colony when they are most active.

After the event, I'll post a Google Drive link in the comments for anyone to upload their footage to be included in the collab video.
