Sunday Meditation

Details
Tapas Meditation is a practice rooted in the concept of "tapas" from Sanskrit, which translates to "heat" or "discipline." This meditation approach emphasizes self-discipline, resilience, and inner strength, focusing on cultivating a sense of inner fire and determination.
Core Elements of Tapas Meditation:
Self-Discipline: Tapas meditation involves committing to a consistent practice, even when faced with challenges or distractions. It emphasizes the development of mental fortitude and perseverance.
Inner Strength: The practice aims to build inner strength by being a witness to the thoughts and imaginations that the mind creates.
Focused Practice: The practice consists of sitting silently with your back straight and eyes closed for one hour.
Through Tapas Meditation, individuals work to ignite their inner power, develop a disciplined mind, and achieve a greater sense of equilibrium and purpose in their lives.
*** This practice is simple but takes discipline. For this reason, participants will slowly build stamina over the weeks to a full hour sitting meditation. There will be opportunity for discussion and questions at the beginning and end of the meditation.
