ManKind Project (MKP) is a global network of nonprofit organizations focused on modern male initiation, self-awareness, and personal growth.

The ManKind Project has 11 regions: Australia, Belgium, Canada, French Speaking Europe, New Zealand, Nordic (Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland), South Africa, Switzerland, The United Kingdom, Ireland, and the United States. There are also 7 developing regions: Costa Rica, Mexico, The Netherlands, China, Singapore, India, Central Africa (Cameroon, DRC).

As of March 2017, MKP reports that over 60,000 men have participated in their flagship program, the New Warrior Training Adventure.[4]

MKP has its origins in the mythopoetic men's movement of the early 1980s, drawing heavily on the works of Robert Bly, Robert L. Moore, and Douglas Gillette. In 1984, Rich Tosi, a former Marine Corps officer; Bill Kauth, a social worker, therapist, and author; and university professor Ron Hering, Ph.D. (Curriculum Studies); created an experiential weekend for men called the "Wildman Weekend" (later renamed "The New Warrior Training"). As the popularity of the training grew, they formed a New Warrior Network organization, which would later become The Mankind Project

We share experiences and wisdom to support self-awareness, accountability, integrity, positive change and transformation. We form a community of peers who take risks to improve our lives and help others.

This circle welcomes any and all self-identified men, including trans and intersex men (regardless of hormones or surgery) and all other trans people who have a strong connection to men's identity and community. We also welcome men regardless of sexual orientation.

Ground rules: confidentiality, punctuality (the group will begin on time and end on time. If I arrive late, I will not interrupt the flow of the group.), any man can pass at any time, attend intoxicant free,I statements, raise hand to acknowledge relatedness, no advice, each man is responsible for taking care of himself (if he needs something he will ask for it), ethical relationships (This is not a business group. No Solicitations. If I need something, I can ask for it before or after the meeting. I can leave literature on the table.) AHO after men say I am in ("Aho!" Is a Native American (Yaqui) phrase meaning, "I speak my truth!" It is used much like “Amen!")

Four Rounds of sharing using the archetype energies of the lover, warrior, magician and elder.

1st round Lover round (name,feeling,mission)

2a Warrior Accountability (agreements)

2b Warrior Support accountability (agreements)

2c Warrior check in to see if there is a charge with another man in the circle. Eye contact with each man. If any man is not clear consider using man in the mirror process from IGFT manual.

3 Magician round check in to see if any man has a challenge in his life he would like to take a look at.

4 Elder round: Name, feeling, speak about shift in energy from beginning of circle to now, bless yourself and any other man in the circle.

These circles take place twice weekly on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings and is open to any man aged 18 and over. These meetings are typically led by a Mankind trained facilitator. Men participate knowing that what is said will be kept confidential and that men will be non-judgemental.

Come, visit a meeting and talk with other men. Find out who we are. Then ask yourself: “Does this feel right for me?” Its a small investment of your time that could yield significant results.
